These are the hills that are the backdrop to the start of the film Out of
Africa where the immortal words “I had a farm in Africa” are spoken in the
opening scene. Many volunteers describe this as one of their top 5 experiences.
Apparently Ngong means knuckle which if you look closely they do vaguely
resemble. The walk is about 7 hills and about 12km. Luckily when we did it, the
weather was a little overcast but it was still very warm. A fantastic day and
